Extended warranty options

My A/C is on its last leg and the extended warranty company said it is covered. My question to those who have USED their warranty to replace an A/C will they let you upgrade from a standard A/C to a heat pump if you pay the price difference?

I can't speak for all warranties or service contracts, but if you have Good Sam ESP, you are welcome to apply the cost of the repair or replacement of a covered component that fails to a upgraded item.

The amount of claims paid out on your ESP does not impact your rates at all.

I would guess so but might raise your rates to cover more expensive item??????
