Has anyone out there had trouble getting popular campground reservations thru Reserve America? I have tried to get reservations at Nevada Beach in Tahoe for days with no luck. Is there a trick to it?

Maybe Nevada Beach is listed on both:

F450, it was both Reserve America and Georgia State Park sites. Both showed the same results.

This is a head scratching moment for me.

I just put in the opening date of 05/12/17, for Nevada Beach Campground and Day Use Pavilion. Filtered my request for a flexibility range of 4 weeks, and 1/2 the sites opened up as available as of a start date of 5/12/17.

No idea what dates you are trying for.

Maybe you need to switch to a different browser.
I can open reserveamerica.com in Firefox successfully.
I was trying for July

I just had a similar experience while trying to book a site at Tallulah Gorge SP, GA. We want a site with 30amp power. Every time I set my search parameters to 30amp the results showed none available. Revising the search to 15amp displayed several sites available. When selecting the type of site preferred, GA is non site specific, it was displayed as having 30 to 50amps. Frustration led me to call the 1-800 number. Explained my dilemma and was told "Oh yes, all those sites are either 30 or 50amps. The web site is just messed up!"
Who'd a thunk.

Was this with Reserve America or the State reservation system website?
It is a federal forestry campground so you have to go thru recreation.gov

The website was ReserveAmerica, but I called the state and got a very nice young lady who helped me.

Each state makes it own rules/regulations for reserveamerica. And if the state doesn't edit/revise the listings and descriptions well they won't change.
Been reading for years that Hammonasset in CT has gravel driveways when that isn't the case; had "fun" picking a campsite for Indian Lake, NY where alllllllll the sites are listed as "partial shade/ boat access. Also not true but of course Google Earth is yer friend;).

Good, as I've never had a problem making a res on their site in the past.

Hopefully the OP can figure it out.

Another suggestion, especially for state parks: suppose you want a site for a week in a specific park. Ask instead for 3 or 4 days only and click off that you are flexible (even if you're not). Then scan around for what's available, including sites for 4+ days. Also, you may have to move sites partway through the week.

I may be wrong, but it seems to help.
