The forums used to be frequented by posters who had what I considered reasonable opinions on most issues. In the last couple of days there have been threads about constantly barking dogs left in rigs, a guy who whipped it out and urinated in public, and a guy who dumped his black tank into a stream. In the past those actions would have been met with a long chorus of "that behavior is unacceptable". However all three were filled with posters saying those actions were fine and justifiable. To me it sure feels like the monkeys have taken control of the zoo.

The country is going to Hades in a handbasket IMO. Morals are declining, folks are more rude, there is no respect for the neighbors, too many folks are selfish. Things were much different in the '40's when I was growing up. Not much anyone can do about it, you can't legislate decency.
I honestly believe the economy has a little to do with it also.
Campers in general are some of the best people that I have met. My work had Sweetie and me living in campgrounds from 1986 to 2006.
That is one reason we still have a small RV and not staying in motels.
Things will get better maybe. -----------(Climbing off my soap box for now)

If this was in ATC section, it most likely would have been deleted already.

Yup. I read and move on. Manners and respect are becoming a thing of the past. Can't say I don't disagree with the OP.

It's kind of like TV channels, you don't have to look at them all.

As I was told once by a moderator: "Don't like it? Don't read it, and move on."

Good advice.

The best use of this forum has always been and will continue to be the search function for helpful topics covered in the past. I come here on most days for mild entertainment otherwise.

It is just a symptom of the general decline in our society. I had a preacher who used to say "Everything rises and falls on leadership". He was so right. We can combat this behavior by continuing to speak out when it crosses the line. If no one is left to question bad behavior, how will anyone know it was wrong?
