Picked up my new trailer yesterday... Dealer set up The weight distribution hitch... Didn't notice till i got to the storage facility... Which is perfectly flat... How unlevel the trailer is... Nose up... Does this look right? Always thought it should be level our nose down alittle if anything. What's your thoughts? I have a picture but can't figure out how to attach

Download the Weight Distributing Hitch manual, most are available online. Walk through the set up procedure to see what needs done. Then either do it yourself or take it back to the TT dealer to have them adjust it. Don't tell them how or what to do, let them do it. You'll now know if they are able to correct it OR if they are not competent to work on your TT. Because setting up a WDH using vehicle and WDH factory guidance is fairly simple but usually requires a LARGE torque wrench.

Read the owner's manual for your hitch - you can find it online if the dealer did not give you one.

You may very well be able to adjust your hitch yourself just fine. Read the manual, ask questions on these forums. Do you have a friend or two who has worked with hitches before?

At my local garage, a couple of the mechanics own campers, and will do a certain amount of work on them including adjusting hitches. Their biggest problem is they don't have the big garage to be able to put a camper into.

When and if you do bring your camper back to the dealer to adjust the hitch, still read the hitches owner's manual first so you will have some idea what they are talking about and what they will do.

X2 You should also bring along a CAT scale slip showing the axle weights with the TT attached to the TV and a second weight slip of the TV alone.

Load it up first and then see. Dealer may have done it on purpose as the trailer is empty and your tongue weight will increase as you load it. Youโ€™re likely going to have to re adjust it again anyways. Should be slightly nose down.

If you are a new RVer take it back for adjustment.

Trailer should be level or a bit nose down. You'll need to drop the hitch head on the shank. Either the hitch manufacturer's website or YouTube should have a vid showing how it's done.

Either that, or take it back and let the dealer have another try at it.
