Home Security Systems for Temporary Absences

We are looking for feedback on Home Security Systems while we are away for a couple weeks, up to a couple months. We're new at the retirement RVing and want electronic support (in addition to check-ups by the neighbors). Appreciate any and all comments!

There are several DIY wireless systems to accommodate practically every need. Some of them can be monitored by professional alarm companies or to send an alert to you or another designated party.

Webcams that can be viewed remotely are great but will do nothing to stop someone from breaking into your home.

buy the adt security sign,s put them all over, even some fake camera,s tell your close friends .not to meny, timer on a bed room light differant rooms at differant times , have a relative live in for a week. our house has nine cameras all being monitered 24,7 my sons in the business so price was cheap.

Second vote for simpliSafe. A very good system and NO contract, turn it on and off as you wish. Monitoring price is less than ½ of what the big boys want and the big boys require a 2 year contract for their cheapest monthly price.

We have had ADT for years. It used to be great but over the years they have bought up a lot of other companies which as given them the I don't care attitude. It is pricy but has worked pretty well. If you have a problem it takes a week to come out and they try to charge you for anything and everything. I would like to see a good wireless system.

We have a home security...just a local company but they sub contract their station monitoring. We pay $30 per month. Never used it in 10 years but perhaps the sign out front is a deterent.
