Homeless - safe to store propane/gas in car while sleeping?

Hi, does anyone have advice?

I am homeless, and live and sleep in my car. I want to buy a propane or gas camping stove burner so I can boil water to make spaghetti, etc.

I am thinking of buying this one:

Camp Chef Explorer Camping Stove from Amazon

Is it safe to store propane or gasoline next to me while I am sleeping in the car? Should I get a carbon-monoxide detector to mount in the car? There is no place I can store it outside at, and my self-storage facility is almost two hours away from where I live.

Thanks!

Also, where can I pull out my camping stove to cook, next to my car? Will any large parking lot or city street do?

So I guess that YOUR opinion is the ONLY one allowed on this forum?
If someone does not agree with YOU then you feel the need to slam them?

Everyone here has their right to their opinion, hmmmm pretty much what forums are all about. Perhaps blocking all the forum members that do not agree with YOU would make you day a little easier to handle.

I don't know how much are rents in your area, and how much it costs to buy good food,so if YOU were making 1000$ a month, could you really afford to live anywhere else but your RV??

SSI = Section 8 housing. Doesn't matter what the rent is in the area of where the beneficiary lives the government pays for almost ALL of it. The gov cuts a check directly to the landlord. I know I rented to Section 8's.

Thanks free radical. Someone mentioned that to me, but I hear it takes a few hours to cook your food that way. I want something faster, as I am very busy. I can afford to buy a decent camp stove.

(Now I am just waiting for the ignorami (yes, that's the correct Latin plural) here to ask stupid questions like:

How are you busy if you are homeless?

How do you have money and nice things like an expensive smartphone and laptop if you're homeless?

How do you know the Latin plural of ignoramus if you are homeless?)

(I tried to use brackets above, but I guess you get an error as the site thinks it's invalid formatting.)

Wow, I'm having fun at reading the past four pages full of ignorant posts accusing me of trolling. Lots of unwarranted assumptions and lots of viciousness. Oh well. Believe what you will, but just know this: I feel good knowing I am better than you.

And if this isnt enough for mods to end this stupid thread then there is no hope for this forum.

Close it..actually delete it

As for the OP.. She sounds like a sharp girl trying to live with what she has... Hats off to her.

Would you say the same thing if it was one of your children? Kudos my dear child you are living on the streets, I am so proud of you.:R

A smart girl?
Making $1,000 a month and living on the streets. What's wrong with this picture?

Ah, got it. Thanks for the tip.

I find it hard to understand that someone who writes so well chooses to live like that.
I have often dreamed of leading the carefree nomadic lifestyle but the life I have created prevents it. Maybe next time!

I knew I had seen that screen name before in a similar post. Thanks for the suggestion of the advanced search. She/he writes so well because this is all FICTION. An interactive short story. Probably hoping that a few people will actually Google "Mileena" and go to his/her money making page. Mileena is "Catfishing" us. (An interesting movie, BTW, but didn't resonate with me because I am a skeptic first, believer second.)

Strange indeed.

It certainly is NOT her first post she's been doing and saying the SAME thing since she signed up. From stealing breakfasts, up to and including bashing the police. And trust me no one believed her back in

2010

either...

So he/she has been living in their van for the past three years and is just now interested in cooking something? This is getting stranger by the minute :h

.....a car all by itself in a parking lot at night is suspicious. If I were a cop, I would be wondering if the car is abandoned, someone is hiding out there, someone needed help, or if there were teenagers in it having sex. However, if I parked near RV's, I don't imagine a problem.
.....security guard came by and was suspicious, since hotel guests usually park as close as possible to the hotel. He ended up waking me up and made me leave.

from 2010~This person is the true TROLL and has at least 3 topics that have done nothing but bash LEO for doing their job. Evidently he/she has been stopped by a LEO doing their job and feels that he/she is exempt from any lawful LEO contact and needs to vent over and over. The mods are very quick to end a civil gun thread, but are very lax in allowing a LEO bashing to continue in multiple threads by one new person.

BTW: Mileena is a name of a Mortal Combat figure that the pictures of this character are too graphic to post here.
