How do you wash your camper?

It might sound like a stupid question. Since our current camper has dark full body paint I can't use our home well water. Too many minerals and it leaves a ton of spots and a haze. No matter if I disconnect the water softener or not.

What I do now is use about 7 gallons of well water ( fill a pail twice) and vinegar. I have a squeegee with a sponge on one side. Dip in the water and then squeegee off. Actually it looks great when done.

I wish I could wash with the water and soap & wax concentrate, but it looks like crap. Anyone else have this problem?

Ours gets a complete going over after every trip. City water wash and rinse, drip dry, vacuum, Armor All, then back into the garage till next trip. Wax once or twice a year as it's inside most of the time. Looks like new to be 10 yrs old.:B

Mcguires "Ultimate Wash and Wax" car wash. No mineral spot has the nerve to hang around with this stuff and the shine it leaves on the RV is great just from washing it.

There's a whole house filter the water goes through first. It gets reply twice a month. It does't remove them ... enough I guess.

I saw this at Costcos web site. Seems expensive

I own a large metal building with a concrete floor and water, where I keep my "C", so the only dirt is road dirt after a trip. I also have friends that have two teenage daughters that think $30 each is a fortune. They can climb all over it because they aren't heavy enough to leave a dent. Heck of it is, they're getting older and wiser, so this scam isn't going to work forever. 🙂
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

I live in the city so i don't have your problem with well water. I use the wash and wax and then just rinse and dry it off. It looks brand new when i'm done. I also wax it a couple times a year.
