How to sleep four in a trailer for two?

We have what we consider a "couple's" trailer. Our 25 footer has a front queen, a back bath, and a dinette and two small recliners in one large slide. For one weekend, we'd like another couple to join us, but I need ideas on the sleeping arrangements. I know the dinette converted to a bed is hardly wide and long enough for two adults. While we could certainly split our couple up and have one on a single air mattress on the floor, I'm just curious, has anyone rotated your guests 90 degrees on the dinette, with pillows against the wall, and added bed length at the foot? If so, how did you accomplish this?

Moving the small recliners for an air mattress or just putting an air mattress in the middle of the kitchen floor are a horse apiece for space. Our recliners are more like reclining office chairs with a matching ottoman, not bolted down. Having access to the bathroom in the middle of the night isn't a big deal either. We'll be on ATV trails and pretty remote, so renting a cabin or tenting it isn't a great option. I was mostly wondering if modifying the dinette bed has been done or was worth the effort. Seems like not.

Yes kerrlakeroo, I was also happy with the capacity of all the tanks since we downsized our camper and I knew my water usage habits would have to change too. So far we've made no repairs and the quality is average.

doesn't the definition of a "blivet" enter in here?

With a 68 inch opening where the recliners are one can go there easily. Are the recliners bolted down? I'm curious because I was looking at that exact trailer and replacing the loveseat with recliners . Tank sizes on that unit are great for the size.
Has it been good as far as repairs and quality?

We were gifted a couples coach from my parents that had a small jackknife sofa in the slide. We removed the sofa and bought a double bed futon that fits perfect in the opening and fits perfect to the kitchen island when the bed is out.

An air mattress on the floor is my suggestion, but the rear bath brings up a question on getting past the air mattress during the night? Can you go to a campground where there are camping cabins or a motel attached to the campground?

Several times we have taken other family with us in our trailer. The love seat does fold out into a bed but it is quite uncomfortable and small (not that I care as I will never sleep on it). However after the first two times they just bring an air mattress and put it on the floor.

I'm beginning to think that modifying the dinette is out, and using up all the floor space with a queen air mattress is the way to go.

I'm old enough to know that you are absolutely right!

Take a tent. Or put the dinette down, add some sort of support for use at right angles.

We have a 37' fifth wheel that sleeps TWO. It has a sofa bed air mattress that will never come out of the box. If friends want to come then they can get a room in a hotel nearby.
Have Fiver will travel with little or no notice at all. I do need to stop at rest areas now and then:)

That dinette is 46x74 which is between the old standard single 36x74 and double 54x74. so while snug, if they arent large folks it may suffice. If you really want more space moving the recliners to allow an air mattress or to put the cushions on the floor there and then just adding a small air mattress at the bottom could work.

You could get a blow up air mattress if you have enough floor space. Would be a lot more comfortable then the dinette. Some places have cabins for rent as well, this is what I do at the seasonal.
