Ice Cream at Camping World

Oh boy free ice cream at camping world.......I got an email alert from CW that there would be ice cream from 1-3 pm. So we were running our errands and swung by the store. After walking around the store we were leaving and my wife saw a Yeti cooler and sitting next to it was some spoons, no sign no nothing. I opened the lid and there sitting on some ice cubes was some dixie cups of a no name brand ice cream.....What a hoot ...why bother .......this was not what I was expecting based on the graphic email alert I received.......

I stopped by our local store and had a similar disappointing experience. What makes it worse is they have someone stationed right at the front door to greet you - and you can tell they are trained to do so. But beyond the hello, they don't say anything about specials or events.

At least at my local store they were using a Dometic freezer for the treats. Showing off something they can sell.

I think I get a little more senile everyday, at least that's what the DW tells me. If it wasn't for their banana pudding ice cream I would forget them too. :B

Our Camping World was serving up these...all you could eat and they were giving away a free Yetti cooler to everyone who came in...

I never eat any food that's offered for free at stores. I see Camping World as a nice store that has a whole lot of inventory on the floor, and a big parking lot. It really doesn't bother me THAT much that CW can't afford to pay for the type of talented employees that we would like to see. I encounter this situation at most of the ither tyoes if stores that I visit.
