We just checked in at Sams Town RV here in Las Vegas for 8 nights. We are informed that tomorrow, Oct 1st, this will now be a KOA and all Sams employees are being replaced. Our rate will be honored for the eight days, but my guess is KOA rates will be much higher. FYI

There used to be a park called "Hidden Village" as I recall about half way between Sam's and Bolder Station.

Also Thousand Trails has a park next door to the Hidden Village (Well 2 or 3 driveways down but they do share a line fence once you get behind the stores)

AZ Charlie's is also a good alternative.

TT parks now offer nightly or monthly rent to all comers so you can check with them.. Likely around 30-40/night or 300-400 month but that is a guess, They also have a six month and annual rate. And some other interesting features.

ONE Hidden feature of that park.... The Las Vegas Bus system has a stop RIGHT AT THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY.. so you can park the towed and take the bus.. Main terminal is a block off Freemont Street Expierence, (Old Las Vegas) and of course you can transfer to most anywhere in town.. If you are a senior the pass is very reasonable.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Texan, hurry, there are three spots open at the Boulder City Elks right now! We went to lunch today at the Firelite Buffet at Sams Town today. When we came out to the truck in the parking garage there was a bright yellow short bed Dodge pick up parked against the wall toward the casino. About then what looked like a rental minivan pulled next to it and out jumped, two, what looked like KOA employees with bright yellow shirts and logos to match and they walked toward the casino. I didn't say anything to them might ruin their day.

Is Debbie still the manager? Fun Gal!

After KOA Circus Circus closed for repurpose, it looks like they wanted to maintain presence in Las Vegas and somehow connected with Sams Town. It looks like the original purpose of these LV casino RV parks-to bring in casino guests at low overnight rates-is no longer in play. It also happened at Avi in Laughlin area. Sorry to hear this.

I would go just next door to them at the Las Vegas RV Resort. Nice park with good size sites.

x2 Have spent the last 2 winters at this park. Love the security entrance and the people there are wonderful.

We always stay at the Main Street Station RV Park downtown. Usually less than $20 per night for 50 amp, water, and sewer. Can't beat that deal!

We don't do KOA's so our trip last spring was our last time at Sam's Town. Will find another CG if the Elks club in Boulder City is full.

We stayed at Arizona Charlie's last fall, was 32 bucks for FHU site with 70 foot concrete pad. Spaces were close together of course but was well worth it.

We have enjoyed Sam's Town a number of times, usually coming/going to/from Zion. Sam's was always a great deal with excellent amenities. Looks like we have been there for the last time as I will NOT do KOA's. :E

Every time we were there they were full or nearly so and most of the folks we spoke with had been there many times. Don't know what the Casino folks were thinking??? :h
