In RVโ€™ing the name of the game is TRAVEL!

Now that the Canadian border is opening up just remember the Canadian Govโ€™t has higher insurance coverage requirements. Make sure your US Insurance company will give you a โ€œCanada Non-Resident Inter-Province Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Cardโ€. It says that you US carrier will cover the increased limits, and is good for one year. Should be little or no charge, anyway Markel just dropped mine in the mail.

My RV is a motorcycle pulling a camping trailer. The deer didnโ€™t see me in time so he just TRIED to jump over me. No I didnโ€™t go down.

According to RCMP โ€˜We have so many deer accidents up here (Alberta; Trans-Canada 3) we donโ€™t even make out a report unless thereโ€™s human injury.

We've had Progressive via USAA for 10 years or so. We haven't had any claims so I can't speak to how well the claim process would go, but our rates have remained the mostly the same with very small increases and decreases. It actually went down about $10 this past renewal.

Have had USAA for over 30 years covering our homes, all cars, trucks, vans, and towable (TTs & 5ers) RVs. Our current RV is a Class A and when we called USAA for coverage they transferred us to Progressive. Thus far Progressive has responded very well to service requests and prices are very competitive too boot. Heard they jack prices up after a few years, just received our insurance bill for our second year of coverage and it up a about 70$, we did add towing for $5 more monthly.

"By having multiple policies under one company, you get better discounts and the local agent is more likely to go to bat for you if they stand to lose multiple policies."

True story! American Family smoked Farmers in overall cost. They have been great to deal with overall.

If you aren't happy with your home/auto insurance, you probably need to change them all.

I have had progressive for about 10 years. Seems reasonable and the 2 claims I have had went fine.

If you are former military then USAA of San Antonio provides insurance service for autos, trucks and RVs at very competitive prices. I have been insured with them since 1970 for trucks and travel trailer with no problems and their telephone help line is great with good english speaking reps you can understand. Always been fast polite service.

State Farm. Not sure what you mean by 'trouble free' but we've had a claim or two ofer the years with no hassles.
