My Dirt Devil Hose is too short

I like the power and simplicity of the Dirt Devil central vacuum but the hose is simply too short for our 45 foot MH. At both ends of the coach, I feel as if I will break something or pull out the hose if I keep pulling. At best, I can kind of vacuum almost to the end if I use the long wand and vacuum in that direction only. Of course there is no way to maneuver around near the ends of the coach and I can't really vacuum the front cockpit and stairs.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to lengthen the hose? Alternatively, I guess I can either sweep or use a portable vacuum but I'm hoping there is another solution.

Encountered the same problem. Took my short hose and went to my nearest vacuum cleaner repair store and they hooked me up with an extension. My wife is much happier!!:)

Nobody has ever complained about the length of my hose. 🙂

Are there hose extensions available?
Yes, hose extensions are available for standard hoses in 7, 10, 15 and 20 feet. However, when you using hose extensions you will not be able to turn the hose on/off at the handle.
I found that as well, but it doesn't say where these extensions are available.

I always heard it wasn't the length of the hose but the power behind it... of course that was from the guys selling it not the women using it.

CW did have the hose and attachments ,for Dirt Devil sized central units. Been a few years since we bought one though.
Measure the hose diameter where attachments go and see what Lowes etc have.

I know this will get tossed within minutes, but it was too good to resist! TOO funny! :B To me anyway! ROTFL and yes, I'm sober.

LOWES-WALMART is a good place to look for them... I would carry something along with me that fits the Dirt Devil just to be sure you find something that plugs into it...
