No Counter Space!...my solution

Our small class C had no counter space except for the half sink cover. Since I usually boondock and clean dishes with wet and dry paper towels, I made this easy on/easy off cover for counter space.I still have easy access to full sink if wanted. Made cooking a lot easier having space next to stove. It's made from 1/4" HDPE

I like it. I think I would still have a whole in the bottom of the bowl to let the water out and down the drain but, to each his own. Personally I could never figure out why a person needs a double sink in a RV.

I in fact will be remodeling my kitchen this winter in my house and getting rid of the double sink in the house too. I have a dishwasher at home what the heck do I need a double sink for?

good If it works for you, I use the sink too much... what are you using it for? I would make a cover for the stove before the sink.

Not sure what HDPE OP used. I have been using King Starboard on various projects on my RV and Boat. Machines with normal wood working tools. Gluing it is a problem. I use screws to fasten it. Works great for gauge panels. You can find it on EBAY in various thickness and colors.

In my RF the sink has a 2q part cover, we keep the small side open all the time but when I'm using the sink the big part goes on a bar stool, in front of the oven, the stool is the precise height of the handle on the oven door so the oven and the stool together form a nice solid support. Works great.

Or I can always bring in a plastic table for lots and lots of counter (I use a small one (used to have 2 but one grew legs) to hold the computer.

I did almost the same thing buying panels already made up and fit down on top of the sinks.

I also installed a fold-out desktop in front of the stove top. This folds out and gives a good working space in front of the stove... Then you can fold it down when done...

It never ceases to amaze me how little counter space many RV's have.
