Ordered New Rubber Today

I've been researching tire options for the trailer the past few weeks and pulled the trigger tonight. I'd decided on the new Goodyear Endurance because it's American made and will allow me to drive highway speeds. Stopped at the Goodyear store on the way home and about had a heart attack when they quoted me $699 for a set of four. Thanked the salesman for his time and decided to keep shopping.

I remembered a new Discount Tire store that opened a few weeks ago in town and stopped by there next. As soon as I told them what I was looking for the manager volunteered they been getting a lot of calls for that tire. $597 with a $100 rebate, so $497 OTD! Told the wife I saved us $200 tonight. Lol

Discount tire has always treated me right. They even plugged and patched a front tire on my truck even though it had factory tires and didn't charge me a dime! Of course I buy all my tires there including 12 16" Maxxis tires for both my RVs.

Well shucks! I've never dealt with Discount Tire, so yesterday, I had to special order 4 Maxxis tires from a tire shop here in Coeur d Alene. Two other shops said that they couldn't get Maxxis. I put a deposit on the order---but next time I will check Discount before I buy.
What's that saying???? A day late and a dollar short?

Awesome! I've dealt with Discount Tire quite a bit. Recently I took my work truck in because the BFGs I bought from them 1.5 years ago were worn out at 25,000 miles. Although the BFGs didn't come with a tire warranty, Discount Tire created one for me. Took almost $400 off the purchase of my replacement tires. I was quite pleased.

Make sure we get to see some pics of those new tires.

If I were to be in the "E" trailer tire market the GY Endurance would be at the top of the list.

While still happy about the price and excited about the tires, it seems their customer service leaves a little to be desired. They were supposed to order the tires and have them in by Friday. I spent several hours earlier in the week jacking up one side of the trailer and pulling off the first two tires. Called them yesterday afternoon to see about dropping off the tires and learned the store in IN where they were coming from never shipped them. Looks like it will be Tuesday or Wednesday now. 😞

I have been looking at the GY Endurance for a future option. Have been going with Maxxis in the past but am open mined and encouraged by what I am seeing with the American made Endurance.

Come back and post what you think after some use with them.
