Parking in Galveston, TX

I posted months ago but, I can't find that post. In September, I'll be taking a Carnival Cruise sailing from Galveston, TX. I can park my 17' Casita Travel Trailer well inland with another Casita owner. I plan to drive into Galveston the day before the cruise sails and, I need to find a hotel that I was told will allow me to park my tow vehicle (Sprinter van) in their lot for the duration of the cruise. I figure I'll spend the first night at said hotel and the night the cruise return then, drive inland the next day. That way, the hotel will get two nights of business and, I won't have to fight massive crowds. Who can help me with the name of the RV friendly hotel? Thanks in advance!

Thank you RedG I'll look into that. John&Joey, my cruise is in mid-September, still hurricane season. I wouldn't want to leave my rig unattended on the coast (think Murphy's Law). That's why I arranged to park my "egg" well inland and, with another Casita owner that I know. He's a very capable fellow who would be well equipped to deal with an emergency should one arise.

I'm still curious as to Queens Carriage's comment and, wonder just how long ago that was he was in Galveston. I realize that "feces occur" and, can occur anywhere at any time but, I don't discount warnings when I hear them. Re my Sprinter; I have covers for the windows so, curious minds can not look in and "shop". It is alarmed as well.

We cruised out of there on RCCL. Give Jamaica Beach RV a call/e-mail. We stayed there a month, and they drove us too, and picked us up a week later at the Cruise Terminal. Very nice owners and a great place to stay. Only way to go in my opinion.

Whole time the RV was plugged in and being watched in a very nice safe park.

My neighbor just did a cruise out of Galveston a few weeks ago.
He stayed at the Hotel Galvez, which is not cheap, but they allow you to leave your vehicle in their secured parking area until you return from the cruise.

My Sprinter has the high roof and long wheelbase. I need about 24' which, at the terminal, would be a very expensive double space (IF they could handle the high roof). Thanks Trailering Texans re: La Quinta. I've been tickling the keyboard and finally found the place I'd heard of months ago. Gaido's Seaside Inn will allow guests to leave a vehicle parked on their property while on a cruise. I thought I'd check in the night before the cruise and stay over the night the ship returns. The hotel gets two nights of business for their courtesy. Queens Carriage, your post was the first of that type I've heard. What years were you living in Galveston?

La Quinta, the one towards West Beach, I'm not sure about the one in town, will let you do this. You might also check with the parking lots that cater to cruise passengers.

I lived in Galveston for 10 years. I would not leave my property in a Hotel parking lot in that town...

There is parking at the ship terminal.
Is the sprinter too big to fit a normal parking space?
Much easier to park at terminal than trying to get shuttle from hotel to terminal IMO.
