PLEASE DON’T LOG OUT

If you use Chrome Browser or any Chromium based browser, the log in is presently broken. IF YOU LOG OUT, YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO LOG BACK IN.

I don’t know why or what’s up, but I assume a recent Chrome update isn’t compatible with our ancient forum software.

My only advice at this point is to not log out, because you won’t be able to log back in with Chrome. Other browsers don’t appear to be affected.

I did this on 5/16 and it fixed the issue. However: Today, 4 days later, Google Chrome ceased opening ANY web page. Even its own settings page. It flagged EVERYTHING as non-secure and would display NOTHING. Now, I don't KNOW this is a result of this change, but I fixed the Google Chrome issue by uninstalling Chrome, rebooting, and downloading Chrome again. When I looked at this setting, it was set back to DEFAULT.

I've logged in several times using Google chrome recently, no problems so far

I had to close out and earlier today I could not get in (using Chrome). 15 minutes ago, it let me in. Hopefully the problem is solved. But thanks for posting the original because I think I was the first to read the original post so I did not log out for a couple days. then my computer decided it needed to do an update.

This advice, and the solution, should maybe be a Sticky.

So far my ancient HP lap top running Firefox has had no problems.

I have multiple computers here and one of them is fully logged out of everything. Tested it today. Would not log in. Logs in fine to other places.

Consider this a status of issue post.. Not a complaint

Developer tools are useful to analyze the website server end, and not necessarily for fixing issues by the end user.

Instead, I've provided a temporary workaround that an end user can use to regain member access from Chrome browser, until the issue is addressed on forum websites.

Firefox and Safari browsers have plans on implementing similar controls in the near future.

No problem/s with a PC - however.....

Wife's Chromebook will not recognize either of our two WiFi hotspots
(which it normally does). PWs (etc.) are no help.

So may have nothing to do with RV Net forum/s.
