Quartzsite make you sick?

I haven't had bronchitis for many years, but today I'm hacking my lungs out at South LaPosa.

I've heard all the rain can wash away topsoil exposing bad things to breathe underneath.

Anybody else have respiratory problems this year?

Wait till the next EQ out here. There will be an epidemic outbreak of VF if its dry and the ground has a chance to shake the dust up

Doing better thanks.

Taking a pill to help with chest congestion. Antibiotic daily for 5 days. Had first good night's sleep despite howling winds. Still feeling kinda weak but I think we're on the mend.

Dont need a 13th doctor 300 miles away.. my results came back negative from the lab but I was in some very isolated and questionable places up north of Las Vegas, and VF, Legionnaires Disease, and a few others so they had to check... it came back worse 😞

Thanks. I'm a little better today, but sleeping a lot. I started noticing I just wasn't feeling all that chipper for about a week, then overnight I got this roaring sore throat and horrendous cough. B really knocks the c&&& out of me.

Bronchitis will still be no fun but certainly the lesser of the evils. Hopefully the first round of meds will kick it.

Thanks SCV. I used to get sick nearly every year until I started annual flu shots. Seemed to help.

I do my best to not shake hands with people, but fist-bumping doesn't seem to be real popular with old white people.

I'm well enough to be at McDs having my usual oatmeal, waiting for my 9:45 appt. My cough is subsiding, but taking no chances.

I hope everything works out, but if the doc doesn't like what they hear in your lungs, do whatever they suggest and don't wait! I did for 2 days and spent the next 2 months in the hospital, 3 weeks in a coma, slightly over a year ago starting with exactly what you describe until it turned into H1N1, AND viral Pneumonia. There's no reason I should be standing here now to warn others because it degraded that far, and fast !

They thought that's what I had too and it took many days to get the results back. As much as I see your Sig in Cochella, I doubt that's what you have in Q.

To Quartzsite, I usually catch something every year out there with the exception of last year with all the drugs still lingering. And again this year, started coughing and finally went to Eisenhower in La Quinta for more drugs. I'm pretty well convinced the reason is all the people from around the country in Q, most older and having a harder time fighting off whatever bugs they bring to Q and being contagious. Hang In !!

Keep in mind even with a chest X-ray, Valley Fever resembles Tuberculosis and pneumonia or a Flu and it took a CAT scan to finally get diagnosed correctly. Typically a Pulmonologist or Infectious Disease Specialist are the ones to seek out.
