So we went to the Hershey show "just to look" Now I'm going nuts waiting for my new camper to be delivered 🙂

The number one issue by far with any used unit and I mean any used unit is water intrusion because the original owner didn't maintain the seals and caulk and many owners don't have a clue about how to in the first place. Second is rodent damage and third is plumbing issued from inadequate or improper winterizing.

A whole lot more to RV'ing than hooking up and going camping. In reality that is about 10% of the total picture.

Economies are always cyclical. What goes up, must come down, and will.

People with 10 and 15 year RV loans will be in deep do-do and because an RV is a discretionary purchase for most, it becomes the first to go.

People (buyers) don't look at an RV as a house, a distinct distinction. People look at an Rv like an appliance and few people buy used appliances.

Better made is conjecture. Build methods and quality really hasn't changed much in the last 20 years or so. What is occuring is people are becoming more aware of the short comings and complaining about it on the .net on forums like this one (and others).

Yours may or may not be better now that you worked the 'bugs' out of it.

RV's are a funny thing. Most buyers prefer a virgin unit that hasn't been slept in or the toilet used in or cooked in. They want new versus second hand, which is why used units aren't worth much. Always better to trade in than sell outright.

next time I'll trade in and avoid the hassles.

Funny thing is millions buy a used house and think nothing of using the toilet the kitchen is one of the big determining factors. Beds can be replaced very easily. So can toilets.

More and more RV's sold but fewer spaces (at least in this state) all the time.
I would think places like C to C and 1KT are doing great because there sure isn't enough state CG's to go around.
I bet newb's are shocked to find it's so hard to find a camp site.

Always Wal-Mart or Cracker Barrel or a Lowes parking lot. The view isn't the best but it's a place to 'camp'...lol

We've noticed the same thing. Normally our favorite forest service CG has some sites open thur night or friday morning. Not so much anymore. 6 years ago we could show up fri around 7:00 pm and get a spot. Then a few years ago that changed to thur night. Now if you haven't got a spot by thru afternoon it might get dicey.
