I looked at a bunch of used "creampuffs" they were all damaged, or poorly cared for. I'm making payments either way, I'd rather not be making payments on something with rotting walls from the roof leak the PO "fixed"
The last straw was a 2007 with obvious termite infestation and water intrusion... salesman " well in a unit this old there are bound to be some issues"
NO THANKS!
So we went to the Hershey show "just to look" Now I'm going nuts waiting for my new camper to be delivered 🙂

What will be interesting is when the economy bubble breaks and all those new RV's become liabilities. That will be interesting.

Better made is conjecture. Build methods and quality really hasn't changed much in the last 20 years or so. What is occuring is people are becoming more aware of the short comings and complaining about it on the .net on forums like this one (and others).
Yours may or may not be better now that you worked the 'bugs' out of it.
RV's are a funny thing. Most buyers prefer a virgin unit that hasn't been slept in or the toilet used in or cooked in. They want new versus second hand, which is why used units aren't worth much. Always better to trade in than sell outright.
been there did that (just like you) and practically gave the last one away.
next time I'll trade in and avoid the hassles.

Harder to find RV spaces too. I do notice a lot of beginners with brand-new trucks and 5ers. I guess these are baby-boomer retirees.
This!
More and more RV's sold but fewer spaces (at least in this state) all the time.
I would think places like C to C and 1KT are doing great because there sure isn't enough state CG's to go around.
I bet newb's are shocked to find it's so hard to find a camp site.
