Has anybody used his services? How much and was he able to really clean the monitor probes and get them working if they weren't?

If so Kindly describe what he did and what he charged.

I wonder if a guy could use an articulating lawn sprinkler down the toilet and get pretty good results. The toilet would need to be sealed from the drain pipe, of course. When I cleaned oil tanker tanks we used an indexed spray machine--similar to this Butterworth sprayer but with four nozzles. At .49 minutes of the video they turn the pressure down to show how the sprayer works at lower pressures.

Looks good but how to get inside tank?

I made a tool from a 2 ft piece of garden hose then attached a 2 1/2 ft piece of 1/4 in dia plastic hose with a screw in the end of it, I drilled about 6 #40 holes in the end by the screw. When attached to the water hose it sprays streams of water sideways and because it is flexible I can reach the side walls of the black tank from the toilet. I use it once a year at the end of the camping season. When I first bought the MH and used this tool a lot of hardened stuff came out of the tank. The build up came off in sheets.

Could you describe what he type of nozzle into the tank area?

I really didn't pay that much attention to the nozzle other than it looked like a pressure washer.

Of course I never saw water sprayed from it since that was only done in the tank.

sounds good other than using 2800 psi to clean with at that pressure he would blow a hole right through your tanks or rip off the sensors

We have used them one time when we were in Sacramento CA at a rally. They have a special fitting they put on your drain outlet and then insert a high pressure hose with a custom made nozzle. You won't believe the amount of solid stuff comes out of both tanks. This is stuff that has caked onto the sides of the tanks and is like thin concrete.

We thought it was worth it.

At our GS area mini-rally last September a guy was a vendor doing such service. I watched him do a 9 year old 5th wheel. The owner did not have any problems, but decided due to age it might be worth the $120 to have it done.

The video was amazing even in the gray tank. A lot of stuff caked onto the sides of the tanks walls even if the bottom was relatively clean. There was even a ring of buildup around the inside of the black tank about two inches up where the owner would put in about 5 gallons of water when he stored the rig.

Took about 30 minutes, no mess and the inside of the tank looked great on the video afterwards.

Definitely on my list to have done every three or four years.

For really stubborn buildup and clogging, Liquid Drano works great and doesn't cost much. Our owners manual says to use it. We used it once and the tank looked like it had never been used (looking down toilet). I can't see the need to pay for some high pressure cleaning service.

ps: never dump Liquid drano into an onsite septic system.

We have a guy here in Florida who has a franchise for this outfit- http://www.allprowaterflow.com- they use a high pressure snake along with cameras to clean. Not cheap, but does an amazing job- everything literally looks like new when he's finished.

No experience with this outfit...but, after reading his ad (your link), sounds like an enterprising guy.

Sounds like he probably uses his pressure washer with a specially designed spray head to clean holding tanks.

I have used a hand held wand (available at Camping World, Walmart, etc.) that hooks to a hose and is used through the toilet..Works great.

Probably the only reason I would pay for this service is if I had a really bad stoppage that I couldn't clear myself. Otherwise I really don't care how spotlessly, "clean," my holding tanks are.
