I think they are also part of RV World of Nokomis, Fl.

Anyone have any dealings with RV World of Lakeland, Fl? Positive or negative?

Thanks

I would rank my experience so far as similar to The Texan's. The purchasing experience was great. During the walk through, a couple of items that were cosmetic in nature (scratched cabinet door and a miscut panel for the refrigerator). We were told the parts would be ordered and we would be notified when they were in. We purchased in September. I heard nothing, emailed them in October and November, called and was sent to voice mail after being transferred to service. Finally received a voice mail from someone in december. Called back and was sent to voice mail, and again never got a reply. Then a couple of more emails and phone calls. Then I got sick and am finally recovering along with having my daughter's wedding in early April. So now I'm ready to try again. I haven't been pushing since we've been using the camper and we have no functional problems at all. It is just the lack of response that is bothersome.

A few years back we bought a new 5th wheel from the Nokomis lot, and the experience was mixed. The purchase was good, nothing to rave about but nothing to gig them on either. The after sales service was horrible, in fact it was so bad that the manufacturer sent their own rep to pick up the RV and move it to another dealer for warranty service.

Would I buy from them again, maybe, IF I were never going to think about using the company for warranty or service repairs. However, if I still lived in that region as I did then, there are other dealers that I would also consider first.

I got my Coachmen from them, and it went fine, no surprise charges at the last minute, but I think I stated up front that I was going to pay 'X' plus tag and tax only. They gave me a pretty good price, but I was agreeing to take the unit without a walk through presentation. I was confident that I was going to have to tear into it to make some mods, so I wasn't too concerned. Well, I did learn a lot from that, as there is always something to put on the 'punch list' with any complex machine.

Salesman was pleasant, guy doing the paperwork was great, and service manager was pleasant. I had asked them to add an additional fantastic fan, and it looked like it was done right to me. The coach was clean, they put LP gas and a good bit of gasoline in it for me, also.

The only thing that was strange was that some of the features that come on every single Pursuit model were being upsold as options in the negotiation phase, such as the powerlift bed up front, cameras, etc. I think it happens in most every car dealership, or RV place: They want to make a profit, and we want to pay the least amount. So, check your lowest prices on the internet, knowing that you may not be able to buy for those prices without some 'gotchas'. At least you will be in the ball park.

Hope you have a good experience, too.
