Seasonal recommendation

I originally posted this in the RVing in Canada forum but only got one reply. I don't think that forum is very active so I'm re-posting here. I am considering going seasonal next year and I am seeking recommendations of nice seasonal parks with the usual amenities, some shade, maybe waterfront or waterview, and in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario, Canada. Any help is appreciated.

Differn't strokes. I would love to have one of those sites right on the boardwalk watching the people walk by....
Afraid I can't recommend any other seasonal sites with what you are describing in the area you want....
Out my way, the only place we have stayed which is seasonal is Cedar park. But the only water is the pool which is filled with kids in the summer. What I like though, is they do not allow tent camping. So it is always only families...

Rick...when you shop around for seasonal, really know what you are getting.

Seasonal sites charge extra for guests even though they are staying on your site.
They also do not allow other family members or friends to stay there unless you are there..."no letting someone have a weekend"
Check on things like fires and outside lights by 10?
There are extra charges...vary from place to place.

If you go seasonal you really need to go every weekend to get your $ value.

I am not trying to turn you off but compare costs of seasonal rate, plus hydro. Some charge extra for air conditioner. If you go every other weekend it may be less to go to parks. The downfall of parks private, federal or provincial is getting reservations early.

loulou57....yes you did. Thanks. The lack of services in PP's is a deal breker for me.
samhain7....you probably mean Victoria Park. too close to home, might as well just stay in the house. Too crowded, both trailers and people. We're not "Waterfront Festival" type of people.
I suppose seasonal could be boring but it sure would be less expensive. With the proper location it becomes a cottage and you can interact with your neighbours as much or as little as you want. As a means to get away for a while it would serve the purpose without having to pull the cottage with you. The proper location is key, hence my post.

Some of the southern provincial parks now offer some seasonal sites. A few years back it was only the northern parks that did. You will get a site that is possibly more private in a PP but you will not have full hookups. You would need a honey tank, that or remove your unit from the site and use the dump station..

Might sound like a stupid question Rick, but is there something wrong with the park down on the waterfront downtown?
