slide topper rip

There is about a 1 inch tear on the side of the topper. Any ideas how to keep it from ripping more? I was thinking of a super tape. Has anyone tried that or something else. thanks

x3 on the awning tape. Used for a temporary fix that lasted many times longer than I thought it would.

We used some eternabond tape and it held for 3yrs before the rest of the canvas gave out (the tear never got any bigger). Just wrapped it around top and bottom.

When it did reach the point of no return. I think it was $160 for new canvas for a large slideout and took about a 1/2hr to replace. It was an easy job.

X-2 on the awning tape holds well and lasts long.

At the time was going to be a temp fix till replacement was installed. You guessed it. Still on there and still holding.
