We have a small leak at the pipe/black tank connections. Has anyone ever had this and what did you do to seal the leak. Was hoping that one could replace a part of the pipe that goes into the tank. Would get a professional out to do this as we cannot move our fifth wheel.Any suggestions?
First check the valve blade assembly. Where the 4 screws are that hold it on. The pipes flex when driving down the road and put pressure on the screw tabs. Hopefully it will be cracked on the side of the replacement blade assembly
Mine looked like it was leaking from the pipe when actually there was a hairline crack around 2 of the screw tabs on the blade assembly. Causing it to look like there had to be a gapping hole leak somewhere when actually it was from a hairline crack. Go figure.
Sadly when we went to remove the valve blade assembly we found the tabs that are connected on the pipe where cracked also.
So bad that
when we removed the screw the tab actually broke off. We then had to cut into that pipe.
When RV mobile repair came out they had that rubber sleeve and a piece of pvc and I freaked out! Said NO way are you going to jury rig the repair on my RV!!
Come to find out that "IS" how you repair an inline water pipe. PVC, rubber sleeve, hose clamps.
Call the local RV mobile repair guy at your CG. They see this a lot and have all the parts on board and can fix it in a heartbeat.
