Surge Protector Reading L1

I'm sitting in a RV park and storm rolled though and my surge protector went off line. In the LCD window it is giving me "L1 High" "141 Volts" and a flashing red light and won't come back online. Call the RV park owner and she said there was nothing she could do wait till morning. Guess I'm stuck without power for the night, but the other RV without surge protectors still have power since I can see several TVs on.

When your surge protector shut down your electrical system..it just paid for itself! Try plugging it into another power pole if you have enough extension maybe the next one will work..If not I'd ask for some money back for the site.

Unplug your suppressor and reinstall. See if it will reset or a permanent fault.

As soon as you can, find another park. That one is bad news. These types of problems can be very expensive. Consider all the microprocessors in your RV that can get blown out. Air Conditioners, Microwaves, Fridge, Televisions, Computers, Converters, etc.

I have no plans of plugging in direct but it is a 30 amp plug in and I switched to the 50 amp plug off the same post and got the same error. They ave about half the park is dug up putting in new services and lots of wires on the ground and half installed post so with all this rain no telling were the problems is.

Leg 1 of the 50Amp system is dangerously high and over powered. Continued use will damage some expensive components. DO NOT USE POWER FROM THAT SOURCE. Sounds like a bad breaker in that power post.

If you need electricity, ask to be moved to a different site with a different power post. Use your Surge protector to test before plugging in. It is doing it's job.
