Toilet Question

I notice that many of these dometic toilets come with something called "hand spray."

What exactly is a hand spray? I'm imagining some kind of wand that allows you to clean the bowl when you're done? Is this a plus or something to not really worry about?

I'm looking at the 310 model as an example.

We had one on a older trailer. It did work to clean bowl but not necessary. I really have not missed the sprayer. If its not completely clean I just leave enough water in tank so next time it is used it will wash right out.

The hand spray is a hand held sprayer, Just exactly like the one on many kitchen sink faucets (Identical in fact, same catalog number) used to spray down the toilet bowel somewhat better than the built in flusher system does.

It comes in handy to rinse the bowl. A Bidet --- brrr, wouldn't that be cold water?

We use ours all the time. Really helps to clean toilet bowl with less water. You can use a kitchen sink sprayer if you cannot find one made for the job. Most toilets come with a connection for the sprayer already built in.

The hand spray units were added after many requests by the "man of the house". It is used to help us wash down the 14 miles of toilet paper that women need to "do their business".

Hand sprayer would be handy if you don't have good water pressure so your bowl doesn't get a good flush with the foot or hand pedal. Not much purpose otherwise.

LOL at Ranger, that was my second guess, that it was to wash your hands. I was thinking, "Gee why would I want to wash my hands over the toilet."

I guess if you ran out of paper it would come in handy.
