Well,
Yes & No. Yes, in the fact that you won't need any of those "Robots" that sit on the floor and you need to hook to the brake pedal every time you get ready to tow. No, in the fact that, that Blue Ox unit is identical to the NSA Ready Brake unit. It's an inertia operated mechanism that sits in between your tow bar and your coaches receiver.

Like the Ready Brake, it pulls on a cable that is attached to your brake pedal in the toad. It's a simple mechanism. We used the Ready Brake system for years. I recently changed over to the M&G system. Way cleaner and, it's not effected by the exhaust brake on the coach, like the Ready Brake was.

The Blue Ox Autostop has been around for at least ten years. That said, I found that it doesn't work well.

The answer to your question is "yes". (PS. Works well)

I stand corrected. I just looked up Autostop and it appears that Blue Ox now has a system similar to NSA Ready Brake. Again, it will have to be drilled through the car firewall and attached to the brake peddle.

I also think you are referring to the NSA Ready Brake. I have the adaptor which permits me to use the Ready Brake with any towbar, I have Demco. It inserts between the towbar and the motorhome, a surge mechanism then manually engages the toad brake by pulling a line drilled into the cab. I like the systems simplicity.

I don't know anything about the Blue Ox but, it sounds a lot like the Ready Brake.

It pulls on a cable attached to the brake pedal. Nothing else is needed inside the toad.
