i HAVE A 9000LB TRAILER. I'M LOOKING INTO BUYING A RAM 2500 DIESEL WHICH COMES WITH A 342 REAR END. WILL THIS REAR END BE SUFFICIENT TO HANDLE MY TOWING NEEDS? HELP IS NEEDED ON THIS MATTER.

Thanks for he link. But I don't see a law handed down from the U.S. Tha says a person can't use all CAPS. Sure some of the Internet police don't like it, but that doesn't mean anyone should be crucified because of it.

Besides, maybe they are hard of hearing and have to use All CAPS to hear themselves type!:S :B

I think it is harder to read in all caps.

I'm towing around 9K lbs with mine and as was already said, it truly doesn't break a sweat. Don't let the gear ratio fool you. Mine will hold 6th 98% of the time.

is the ram going to new. we went up to 3500 because it was only 300.00 more.
just took tip from K-Fall to Bend Oregon 290 round trip
kept speed at 58-62 got 25.1
when I went 68-72 dropped down 23.2
love it.
I do think the 2500 might ride softer because it has springs.
you will love the power. I am so amazed at how it pulls over my 5.3 gmc

"Six in line, tows just fine". You will have zero towing issues with the 3.42 axles.

Well, I have 3.55's and a whole lot LESS HP and Torque, I tow an 11,000# 5er very well.

Towing 9,000# that Ram won't even break a sweat.

My 3500 6.7L diesel with a 342 rear end handles my 12,500 lb trailer very well. All terrains - been out West (big, long hills) with it several times. I would expect yours would do just fine. Sure, a 411 would pull better, but I don't think it's really needed at this load.
