I have always used Allstays.com to find a walmart and to check if you could overnight there. I just tried to use it and it appears that ypu have to subscribe. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there another site that can be used? Thanks

this comes up a lot and I always wonder why someone would rely on a 3rd party app with a database that is who knows how old/accurate when you can get the same data straight from the horse's mouth by using the free WalMart app. :h ya gotta call or stop by the store anyway to receive permission to park overnite anyway.

For those with a recent Android smartphone...
Turn phone one and say "Ok Google"
Then say "Show me Walmarts near me" or "Show me Walmarts near Denver Colorado"... or where ever

You'll get a map of the area, showing where Walmarts are located along with their phone numbers. Click and you can navigate directly to them.

Oh, you can replace "Walmart" with "Cracker Barrel", "Flying J", or even
"Truck stops".

While I usually do this on my Galaxy S5 smartphone (not when driving), we also have a $50 android tablet (Digiland 7" at BestBuy) that has built-in GPS. It links with the WiFi hotspot in my Verizon Android phone. Then my wife can give verbal commands to the tablet which gives the same information.

Hope this helps!

I don't regret paying the $10 for the Allstays app. Best camping/overnight stay app in my opinion.

What ever you use, just remember that cities & counties are constantly adding ordinances against overnighting.

AllStays has filters for Walmart Ask to Park and Walmart No Overnights.

I've also found that the phone app is better than the computer app.

I fire up my WiFi hot spot and use an iPad with Google maps to search for "Walmart near me" or use the TomTom GPS to search for Walmart as a Point of Interest near me. Both work well.

"RVParky" shows Walmarts, has a map, and is free.
There's another "Walmart Overnight Parking" that shows Redbox and Walmarts, has a basic map. Don't know if the 2nd one works on a laptop, first one does.

Walmart sells road atlases printed by I believe Rand McNally. They are printed for Walmart and a new edition comes out every year. The atlas has a listing of all Walmarts and Sam's Clubs in the US and Canada and may include Mexico listings as well.
