I am camping right now and my water heater was fine on electric now it will only work on propane. I ohmed the element and got 10 ohms but I cannot figure out what is wrong are you suppose to get voltage at the element or what should I be checking next

Suburban uses two sets of t-stats
One set for electric and another set for propane

They are in outside compartment under rubber cover with 'Push to reset' on cover
The one on left side is for electric. Push the reset.
If it heats and then has to be reset again...replace the t-stats
Is it time for your medication or mine?

You don't need to remove heater, remove the plastic cover. Also make sure the water is not up to temp or you will not get power until it cools and calls for heat. We have had to replace one element, but the 110V stat was the cause on a couple of occasions.
