Let's share book ideas!

I'm currently reading Huckleberry Finn. Haven't read it since I was a kid and, no surprise, it's a lot more complex than I remembered :). And a good traveling book!

Also highly recommended, from my just-finished pile, Motoring with Mohammed. It's nothing about war -- it's a travelogue from the 80s, about Yemen. Beautifully written.

Reading 'La Belle Sauvage' by Phillip Pullman which is book 1 of a prequel trilogy to the 'His Dark Materials' Trilogy which had 'The Golden Compass', 'The Subtle Knife' and 'The Amber Spyglass'.

So far very good if you like fantasy novels.

I Let You Go was a decent book. It had a couple of unexpected twists in it. I liked it and will look for another book by Clare Macintosh. Fire and Fury arrived and I started it last night. I guess it is going to be more or less a gossipy type book from the few pages I read last night.

bigred1cav ^5. Well, it didn't arrive and I guess it wont til amazon mail is moving. But, I am reading another book, so I guess I will survive. Sounds like Gloria Gaynor huh?. The current one is a novel. " I Let You Go" by Clare Macintosh. Just 47 pages in, so no verdict yet.

Just finished "Beneath a scarlet sky" by Mark Sullivan. Amazon best seller. A WWII story of the driver for Hitler's main General in Italy. A real story with characters you will find truthful and you will feel their time and place in Italy during the war. This is a great story hard to believe it is just now being told.
Good book, easy read and nice follow up at end as to where these people were after the war.
