Which LEDs for Overhead Decorative/Mood Puck Lights?

Anybody have the answer?

Having real hard time finding replacement LEDs for our living & bed room puck lights (G4 2-pin base).


Have tried 3 brands that pretty much look like the OEM incandescents but the silicone molded around them is much too thick for the cover to fit back on.

Tried one disk-type but it, too, is too thick.

I am in the process of changing mine over to LEDs. I contacted the guy at LED4RV and he was a great help. Finding the lights was not very hard but deciding on the intensity is the real challenge. Wife does not like the bright gymnasium look.

I just replaced all of our lights with LEDs - Two of them are similar to your pictures. Initially the disk type didn't fit but since the LEDs run much cooler than the original halogens, and they direct all light down instead of 360, I removed the reflector/heatshields from both fixtures. Then just had to slightly shorten the pins on the disks and they fit perfectly.

I bought all of my LEDs on eBay from scintiluna_led. Turned out perfect. I bought from them when I changed out the lights in my cruising boat and after four years all are still going strong.

I bought these last year on Amazon YITAMOTOR 20 X G4 24 SMD Spot LED Pure White RV Boat Camper Marine 150-LM Light Bulb 12V AC /DCI. We needed thin ones also, and they have been great so far.

We purchased virtually all of our LEDs from Ebay nearly 5 years ago when we did our conversion to LEDs. A quick look at Ebay (G4 2-pin base) showed many options available, maybe one of them would work and they are cheap to try. All of the LEDs we purchased from an Ebay store recommended by a RV.net forum member many years ago are still functioning fine, the few we purchased here in the USA have all died and have since been replaced. Hope you are able to find what you need, we used mostly flat panel LEDs without voltage regulators and although our converter charges at 14.8 Vdc, not a single LED on any of the arrays has burnt out.
