River side camping in CA

We're looking for someplace in California where we can camp along a river that we can swim, tube and raft in. The warmer the water the better! We'd also like to hear of places that not only have full hook-up RV spaces but places that also have rental units like mini cabins, etc. within them in case our non-RV friends wanted to join us. We've stayed on the Russian and Sacramento Rivers and enjoyed them both. Anybody want to share their favorite spots?

Have you seen pictures of Northern or Southern CA water spots this year? The largest and most used lake in Northern CA is Shasta. Normally a great place, it is now almost empty. Probably most of CA is like that, making camping and water sports extinct this summer. I hope not.

You can try Ponderosa in Lotus, Ca. The South Fork of the American River goes through the vs campground.

All I can suggest is stay out of Southern CA.. I would think Central or Northern California is your better bet if not Oregon itself....
