Best Dog Name Ever?

You all know who Mike Rowe is, right? (Dirtiest Jobs; narrates Deadliest Catch, etc) I adore the guy and follow him on Facebook.

It seems he acquired a stray 2-month old terrier mix - and is looking for names. One person suggested "DJ" for Dirtiest Jobs - but the one that made me burst out laughing was "Rut".

"Rut Rowe"??? ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's going to choose the best name on Monday - until then, the pup thinks his name is "No..no..no...no!" But MY money is on "Rut" 🙂

I got the new dog yesterday- a three year old rescue border terrier. He is a real cutie (still have to take a picture) and the names I had on my list just didn't work. His name is Pancho.

It seems that Mike Rowe chose the 8 most popular names, of the 86,000 suggestions (!) and marked them on a "piddle pad" and waited for the pup to do his thing in a puppy version of "Bingo"....LOL!! It seems "Freddie" was the winner, with "Barsky" (Mike's cameraman and friend) coming in second.

How about Skid? He could be Skid Rowe. Corn and Corn Rowe. Tobacco for Tobacco Rowe. Wait, that's Tobacco Road. Or is it both??? Or Ike so they could be Ike and Mike. Cannery for Cannery Rowe. Or Captain so he can be Captain Rowe in honor of Deadliest Catch.

An acquaintance had a dog named "Goaway" Guess what happened when a friend who didn't like dogs tried to get it to back off.

Had 140 lb Bullmastiff (lost to old age) that we named Brinks (our home security system). Was going to get a female and name her Rolex (she would have been an expensive "watch" dog). 🙂
