Someone please talk me out of this

I currently have 3 dogs (2 Papillons and 1 Jack Russel). I love my dogs dearly and we take them with us (most of the time) when we travel with our travel trailer. There are a few places we like to go that only allow 2 dogs which is kind of a bummer. Usually, we have my niece stay at the house and dog sit 1 or more of the dogs when we run into this limitation.

My wife went out shopping this week and stopped by a local Pet Smart. There was a small rescue Chihuahua that my wife fell in love with. As much as I love dogs, I was hoping we could eventually get back to having 2 dogs so we wouldn't run into the 2 dog limitations. The wife's argument is we already have 3 (which is a limitation) so having 4 isn't any worse. The little guy is really cute but I need another dog like I need a hole in the head! Decisions.....

Little guy did so good last night. He is still a little scared and trying to get used to the new environment. We put his little bed in our bedroom last night and he slept and never made any noise. In fact, he hasn't even barked yet. He is going to be a good addition to the family. I can't wait to get home from work so I can see him.

There simply is no greater reward than rescuing a dog. I still think back to when we rescued one a couple of years back and he has turned out to be the most fantastic little dog i've ever been around. He was a special needs dog and show's us every day how Thankful he is for us taking him in.

Yay! The missus must be over the moon! The rescues don't let just anybody have chis, you know. We made applications back in 2003 and never even got a response. People in the know told me we were probably considered too old. Finally found a chi-mix 9 wk old pup via a web message board and our spoiled Rosie will be 11 this summer. We'll be looking forward to hearing how your new boy stirs up things at your peaceful abode. :W And pictures, of course! :B
