I installed a battery disconnect switch on my travel trailer and now the battery won't charge. I know the battery is good. I plugged the camper in to electricity to charge the battery as I have done many times before and tried the switch in both positions (because I can't tell which is off and which is on) but the battery won't charge. Any suggestions?

My battery disconnect is removing the battery from the trailer.. Unfortunately, when I keep a battery on my trailer while in storage... Parked next to my house, BTW... It grows legs and moves on... 😞
It's only happened ONCE, but that's enough to tell me where the times have come..
Anyway, sorry I can't answer your question.. Just had to vent a bit..
Good luck!
Mitch

120V AC------>Converter-------->12V DC thru 'Reverse Polarity Fuse(s)' on converter
From Reverse Polarity Fuse(s)------>Battery POS cable in-line Fuse (or a DC circuit breaker) on/under trailer tongue
From Battery POS cable in-line fuse--------->battery disconnect switch
Battery disconnect switch ON------->DC flows to battery or from battery
Battery disconnect switch OFF------>NO DC to/from
From Reverse Polarity Fuse(s)------>Battery POS cable in-line Fuse (or a DC circuit breaker) on/under trailer tongue

You could have a bad switch, I went thru two of those cheap junk red key type switches in one summer.

You need to find a buddy that knows basic circuits.
Maybe provide some pictures on what you did and a link to what you installed.

Did you blow a reverse polarity fuse?

Check for voltage coming from your converter while the rv is plugged into shore power with the battery disconnected. If you arced the battery accidently it has probably blown the fuses on the back of your power Converter keeping it from charging the battery.
