Black water valve hard to open!

My black water valve has become extremely hard to open and I fear it will break when using such extreme force. Is there a way to lubricate it? It is sealing fine and not leaking and otherwise does not need replacement.

Ahh

The screw worked so good it was scary!!!!!

I often figured if they did that at the factory, they would never ever sell another replacement valve.

Here is what I did so many years ago with the same success Clicky.

If the valve bolts are too tight my valve is harder to operate. I just replaced it for leaking and did not over tighten the four valve bolts. Pete

If you replace, replace the whole valve, not just the seals !

After about eight years we had to replace ours and I had the RV dealer replace it with a Valterra model.

are your camper's valves exposed or they in the underbelly and connected to the "T-handle" by a cable

Ditto X10 on using Silcone Spray on rod.

First run a toilet or bottle brush around where the blade closes. Junk gets stuck in there and makes it hard to close. Of course only do this with the tanks empty! :W

I put "mineral oil" into our tanks to lube the plate--seems to work.

When next time you empty, spray silicone lube on the handle shaft. If this does not do the trick, try what Ron suggested.
