Continental Tire program withy FMCA

I just received an offer from FMCA to purchase Continental tires for our motorhome at a discounted price. How do these compare not Michelin or bridgestone?

The Continental tires will be just as good at the Michelin. Now for the difference.

The Michelin tire program with FMCA returns zero money to FMCA. FMCA administers the program which includes paying for all advertising, handling all paperwork of the program and receives zero money as said before.

Continental will be paying for all advertising and will handle all of the paperwork you to buy tires In addition, they will be paying a percentage of sales to FMCA.

So it breaks down to this: FMCA paid all costs for you to get a Michelin tire cheaper but not by much.

Continental is giving you a good price for a tire plus paying FMCA for the privilege.

My F350 pickup, used for fifth-wheel towing, has been through 4 sets of tires on the rear wheels in 130,000 miles. (Fifth-wheel towing wears out the rear tires in about 30,000 miles). I have had 2 sets of Continental and two sets of Michelins, and I have seen little difference in tire life.

I have Continentals on the front of my DP and Firestones on the rear. I would use both again.

Michelins are good tires, but I think you overpay for the name.

Continental/General tires rank right up there with the other major brands. I've had excellent results using them in local delivery and over the road trucks. As with any brand, monitoring wear patterns and maintaining proper tire pressure is very important. I've had excellent service using the other major brands too, a good, consistent tire maintenance program pays dividends across the board.
