Fender Skirt Metal Brace

2014 28' Keystone Passport Elite

Passenger side dual-axle fender skirt ripped off on our last trip. I believe it was because the hanging metal brace had snapped leaving little support for the skirt against the wind.

I have found replacement skirts online but I am not sure if they come with replacement metal braces too.

Does anyone know if they come with the brace and if not, where can I purchase a replacement brace(or at least what is the correct search term/nomenclature for it)?

I've found that the "braces" are usually just pieces of insert molding. You could do a lot better by getting some aluminum angle form the HW store and fabricating something better.

Very few OEM's offer a center brace as a replacement part. You just make one out of flat metal. Doug

You can buy the material you need at most any big box or mom and pop hardware store. You might have to do a bit of fabrication, but the OR stuff is nothing more than a strip of sheet metal, so go for it.
