Hi All, have an 11 year old full body paint RV, with the top edge just starting the Clear Coat cancer, along the top edge. Full body paint job is $$,$$$.

Trying to get a few more years out of this beautiful full body paint?

Clear Coat Spray Can?

Folks in the know, and those with experience, thanks for sharing in advance!

There is a polymer polish sealer I use on Quicksilver by the brand name Nu Car Finish. It comes in paste or Liquid. It far and away outlasts any Mothers, Classic, or Simoniz wax I have ever used. Rent a buffer and lean toward professional car detail buffing liquids to gently cut through clear coat. Then apply the polymer sealer. When your shoulders scream and your arms feel like they are going to fall off handling the buffer just thimk of all the $$$$$ you'll be saving. Do the roof first to camouflage oh-gee-whiz buffing mistakes. Good luck. It's quite a job.

We just removed the old clear coat, (power wash then sand it down. Two coats of base coat and three or 4 coats of clear coat. Use "Spray Max 2K". It is a two part clear coat in a can. You have to puncture the can and then you have 24 hours to use it. Leave it alone for a week and buff it out. It will take you about a 6 or 8 day. The masking is an hour of that. Factory quality finish and just as durable. Expensive stuff though. 25 to 30 bucks a can.

I used a pressure washer to remove the loose clear coat, buffed the area and just keep it waxed really good. looks great and no yellowing of the after market clear coat.
