It seems to be doing this consistently regardless of the outside temperature. It's <1000' above sea level.
It's a 2011 model. It worked fine for years and suddenly started doing this last winter (FL).
Any suggestions?

Finally got back together with my Onan. I started it in storage to help run the jacks while I hooked up. It ran for an hour without problem. I will investigate further.
Oh, yeah, my golf cart and three bicycles were stolen out of my locked rig (toy hauler) in a locked storage compound.

Have you checked in air intake filter?
Is the carburetor clean?

I looked at a youtube video - I may have too much oil in it. I don't remember adding any, but I'm old.

Sounds like the fuel pump. Had the same problem with my 5500 2 years ago.

I know nothing is easy on the Onan built-in, but is the fuel pump change simple?

Yes, easily accessible from the bottom. It's underneath the front left hand corner, when facing the front of the generator. Basically a couple of clamps on the fuel line and a wiring harness to unplug, plug in. You might want to also change the fuel filter as well. it's on the same line in beside the fuel pump.

Did you set the altitude adjustment lever to correct altitude?

I'll check the altitude adjustment, but like I said, I'm , <1000' and it has always worked this way.

Is it throwing a code?

I second the code check. Update us

I'll be at my RV in a month. That is if Milton spares it. I'll report back then.
