Generator Debate

Honda, Yamaha, Hyundai????

Just switched over from a toy hauler to camping trailer, now I need to consider generators. Looks like the setup for me will be jumping 2 2000 generators together.
So here's the debate...

I know Honda is the gold standard, but Yamaha is a little cheaper and seems to be increasing in popularity. Hyundai's are WAY cheaper, but Ive never heard of anyone owning one.

My priority list is as follows in order: Quiet, reliable, efficient.

Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken :h

I know of one member here reviewing his Champion 3100i and saying it had no problem running his 15K AC, two paralleled should run two and cost close to one Honda EU3000is. A pair of Honda EU3000is would be quieter though.

I believe the honda 7k would do it, gonna be too rich for my blood. Looks like it'll be 2/ 2k for me, as I don't think the 3k will run a 15k btu a/c

To run two airs from a gen, I'm thinking you'd need to parallel two Honda 3000s. Sweet, quiet, and expensive.

X2, maybe a Yamaha EF4500 but you won't be able to do much else.

I own a EU1000i and recently had to replace the carburetor in the 1000. Very easy to do. I would recommend looking at what the others offer in replacement parts and ease of working on the generator as part of your purchase decision process.

Been researching these gennys, and the next consideration is whether or not to fork out the extra $$ and get something that will run both A/c's. Looks like the additional cost is about 1500.00, but is it worth it not to have any limitations? We do a fair amount of dry camping and often in warm weather.

All that being said, we only had 1 A/c on our old Th and in most cases were fine.

Would hate to be penny wise and pound foolish.

Any opinions?

No Around here it's Honda, Yamaha, Champion.

Champion has quite the following and their 2000w cube can run in parallel with another and pretty popular.

We have the Champion 2000i inverter genny....Same specs as the Honda, but at half the price. You could get two of them for the price of one Honda or Yamaha...

We have a Yamaha 2400. It does a great job with our Stoneridge 5er. We obviously can't run everything, but it will handle one 15k ac and converter. Frig is on gas and no microwave unless ac is turned off. Our location is the Texas Gulf Coast.
