Anyone out there have any personal experience with Verizon unlimited, non contract, Jet Pack WiFi ? Particularly interested in travel situations. Thanks.

We also used the Verizon jetpack while traveling full-time in our motorhome for years. We were NEVER without internet, not even out in the middle of the forest. Cell phones didn't work, but the Verizon internet did. We had ours plugged into the back of a router - no extra antenna's or boosters were necessary. It is expensive, but great coverage. We got in on a deal thru AT&T and are using that right now - also good, but if this deal goes away, we will go back to the Verizon jetpack unless something new/cheaper comes out.

I would not buy any "hot spot" device that did not have an external antenna connection.

Have Verizon jetpack unlimited. Traveled DE to ME and back. No issues. Also use for a Home Minder to keep an eye on our two dogs.

I currently have two Jetpack 7730L's and they work great, but with my plan they are limited to 15gb before throttling back to 600kbps. This has worked well, but my usage has been growing as we all do I guess.

I kept both of my two 7730L's and this past week I signed up for Verizon's unlimited prepaid plan. I decided on their newest jetpack 8800L. I have to say after less than a week's use and 26gb d/l so far, this unit is far superior to the 7730L's and the same price. With 4-5 strength bars I am seeing speeds of 30-50/20-30 consistently even during the normal evening slowdown congestion times.

Time will tell if they change this prepaid plan, but if they leave it alone as it is currently it will be great. No data limit, no throttling, but it is subject to depriortization if the cell becomes congested as are all of their wireless plans.

Prepaid vs Postpaid who cares, it is all the same money and this plan is $70.00/month and $65.00 with autopay.

We have the Verizon FMCA unlimited plan and a JetPack. Worked flawlessly on our 11 week trip through the upper mid-west and prairies this summer. The plan is $50 a month and you get the JetPack for a penny. Be aware that they throttle to 3G speeds above 25 gig. We ended up using our other Verizon wireless data to fill in the gap.

I don't have the unlimited, but I do use a Verizon JetPack when traveling. It works great. I now have a Google Pixel 2 phone. I can use it to setup a wifi hotspot. It eats into my data plan, but that works great also and saves the cost of the JetPack and separate data plan.

Verizon expensive, coverage was the best!
Wintering in NH and have Xfinity data! Been 3 years watching our data usage. Nice to be back on hi-speed data!

I think it's an offering that is too new for anyone to have much experience with it. I'm going to give it a try next month when I leave for my winter trip. It should be great anywhere there is Verizon cellular service unless they do a lot of throttling when the towers are busy.
