Large slide sticking to seal issue

We have a Outback 300rb TT with a 20' slide. Purchased 3 years ago, the slide leaked from the top outside where it meets the inside pillar that runs the length of the slide. So, dealer resealed it with caulking and it worked. The issue I have is that to this day, when the slide is open, the caulking sticks to the rubber seal and when time comes to bring the slide in, it forces the motor. I thought maybe to spread some sand on the caulking, maybe put a strip of duct tape over it... Any ideas?

Also, is there any preventative maintenance to ensure a long life to this massive slide? I regularly grease the ratchet gears (?) underneath.

Love the Outback 300rb, but always thinking about that slide.

The cornstarch worked, thanks for the suggestion. I will see how often I need to use it. Curious to know if it will attract mice. I may try to use a solvent and clean the seal but am concerned with the smell.

Baby powder is available in both talc and corn starch. I don't know which is best, but I use the talc because the organic might support mold.

I have to apply it often to stop the sticking to the painted sides.

Hopefully would not be needed every but I'd use it as often as needed.

You can use an old sock (clean) filled with baby powder to pat the rubber seal. The powder comes out of the sock as you pat the seal, but not enough to make a huge baby powder mess.

Would you use it just the once or every time I open the slide?

I like that as well and have some at home. We are currently on Prince Edward island so will try some baby powder tomorrow and see how that goes.

Are you really supposed to be lubricating the gears? Not mine. It attracts road dirt.
