A note- to get "full 50 amps" takes 12,000 watts.
Seems to me it would be 6,000 watts, no? My 6,500 watt generator powers my 30-amp breaker panel and my 2nd rooftop A/C. 6,500/120 - 54 amps?

I looked it up after that post. Each leg is 50 amps at 120 volts. So it is 12000 watts. So if you want to run both A/Cs, the microwave, the clothes dryer, the dishwasher, the vacuum, and everything else electrical at once, you can at a 50 Amp post.

Where are you going to keep the genset? Do you need to transport it?
Will you have to lift it or can it remain stationary.
Physical size and weight of the genset is a big factor.
