I need a qcc1 to qcc1 hose so I can fill a 5 pound tank from a 20 pound tank. Would a propane dealer be reasonably expected to make one?
As long as your cylinders each have the female POL thread this should work:
Propane transfer kit

I carry This one for my small Weber Q,much easier to store and move.
I have never had a problem getting it filled. Are there some places that prohibit this and if so why.

PS, that is the cutest little LP bottle Iโve ever seen! Good thing that guy donโt live in PA because heโd be stuck with no LP refills โฆ.lol
That one is a standard propane cylinder just like a 20 pound or 30 pound cylinder, only in a smaller size. Your only limit is the same one that the 20# and 30# cylinders have, namely, they have to be recertified occasionally. The issue of refilling small cylinders that you hear about is refilling the little 1 pound disposable cylinders. They are not designed to be refilled, but some folks do so anyway.
They seem to refill just fine. The disposable ones, that is.

Ichabod, I was only commenting with respect to the folks who seemed to live in an area where they couldnโt get propane bottles refilled.
That, and Iโd never seen a mini me version of a refillable LP bottle. But it looks like the equivalent of a truck with a nine gallon fuel tank. Wholly unpractical for uses like furnaces and generators. Imo.

you can refill the green bottles too.
I refill my 30lbs tanks, and then use this adapter to refill my little green tanks from the big tank.

The only problem is that you can't legally transport them per DOT .
