turbokool cooler

Was looking into putting a Turbokool cooler on our 29' Minnie Winnie for when we are dry camping at the races in our area. More so as we bring our dog and would be nice to keep things comfortable inside as opposed to running the generator or external generator while we are trackside. I also like the fact of not listening to a running generator when not needed. The specs I saw was a max 4.9 amp draw or around 55 watts. What is the opinion on this system? Also as we have two possible roof mount locations either front area or rear(sleeping area) I was figuring on front since most time spent there. Specs I saw were if around 95F outside with 10% humidity to expect maybe 20F cooling. I assume this is with blocking sunlight beating in as well. Seems like a affordable option, feedback appreciated.

Had one on a 25ft winnie. Like others have posted only works in low humidity and if it is blowing directly on you. Will not cool down the interior.

What works better is to use a spray bottle of water set to a mist. Use fans and spray your self and pets when you get warm. Stay in front of the fan or if there is a breeze open the windows/go outside in the shade.

We had to dig a trench in 100+ degree heat. Luckily there was a slight breeze. The spray bottle worked well but we still had to stop every 15 minutes and head for shade to cool down to prevent heat stroke.

I made one of these. Works amazingly well but chews up ice.

Assuming this is a swamp cooler you are talking about. They only work in very low humidity areas.

The trick in the specs is the humidity. Evaporative coolers need low humidity to work properly.

Tried using one in a Jeep cj5 in Texas during the summer. I found that we were better off just leaving the windows open. Maybe it will prove more effective in a RV.
