What did you do to your truck today?

I love cruising through the "what did you do to your camper today" thread, I figured I'd add a "what did you do to your truck today".

I'm sure that many of you are like me....and your truck that you use to haul your camper gets a lot of special attention to make sure it's in tip-top shape for your adventures.

I'll start out.....

Today I mounted 2 PIAA 520 Fog lights and 2 PIAA Driving lights to my winch bumper, and aimed them.

This evening, I received a box containing torklift stableload bumpstops. Those will have to wait for another day....we've got a blizzard going on here.

Purchased a new Ford transmission pan and upgraded pan filter (the 03' trans pan filter is just a screen). Today I drained the transmission fluid and put in 11 QTS (new pan is 1/2 inch deeper) of synthetic Valvoline MAX LIFE (Mercron LV compatible) fluid. The difference in shifting was unreal....smooth. I think I'll drain the transmission pan and replace with fresh ATF more frequently. The smooth shifting was almost undetectable.

Put Torklift springloads on the back tie downs, 4 of them came with the camper, the camper manual has in it that the front must have them.

I'd be concerned about the chains and hardware being that close to the body of the truck.

Looks like a Silver Birch Metallic 2500HD with a Duramax.

I loved that truck. I had it for 2 years, owning it concurrently with my 2009.
I sold it earlier this year because I no longer needed 2 D/A HD trucks, and I hated the payments, and it was too nice to be a daily driver during the winter in Eastern, WA where they use corrosive deicer and salt when it snows. I could not bring myself to destroy such a nice truck driving it in the winter.

Just opened the door to the first click. Or you can stand on them and close the door.

I actually did this several weeks ago, but I just read this thread for the first time today.

I changed the oil and filter, filled up the gas tank, washed my truck, hooked up the batteries on a battery tender (she's a 2011 Ford F-350 King Ranch 6.7L dually) and put her into storage until sometime next May.

All last year I only ran her enough to go through a full tank of gas, which was about the same as I've done the prior couple years.

Sad, but true. I'm sure my truck gets lonely just sitting inside a dark building most of the time.

However, happier days for my truck are coming in the future as I've just ordered a new Northern Lite camper to be available next spring. My truck and I are going to have to get to know one another better!

Installed 2" Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver model C31014. Had to take the bumper off to loosen the front spring nut to get the bracket on but no big deal. Looks Great!

Installed a Roadmaster 1 1/2" anti sway bar in the rear and a Helwig 1 1/2" anti sway bar up front. Also changed out all of the end links. I'm still working on the camper so I haven't driven the truck yet. Hoping for a much more comfortable ride.
