Well, finally took it out and now I have quite a list to deal with. I do really like this TT so don't get me wrong if I bag on it. But for the price I think the fit and finish could be better. Some things I will fix and others will be done by the dealer or factory. So far here is my list:
This is possibly a big one, there appears to be cracks in the front cap on the side where it meets the siding right in the middle of the curve. The are showing through the decal.
The molding between the fireplace and the bath door is messed up and there is a random screw right on the curve at the floor level that is stripped out.
The wood stain on the fridge door is missing where the center insert and edge meet.
There are a few places where the wood venire is not properly attached like on the side of the pantry.
The bedroom has two different wall papers in it, they are close but it's easy to see they are different.
The door on the electric panel has opened on the freeway.
There are wrinkles in the back splash wall paper in the kitchen.
Then there are some design flaws that I will have to deal with:
There is some gaps between the front diamond plate and front cap on the top that will allow dirt and bugs to get between the diamond plate and cap.
The dump pipe is supported only by some light weight steel band tape of some sort that will allow that pipe to crack if impacted by road debris.
The silicone sealer that seals the lights and other items on the sides was applied poorly. That I will clean up myself.
The TV is mounted so close to the wall that it is a little blocked when seated on the couch.
The back pads on the dinette are held in place with Velcro that is coming off the wood. The top of the dinette area prevents the pads from being straight up and actually pushes the tops in making for an uncomfortable seat.
With that list you would wonder why I bought that trailer. Like I said, its' a good TT, it just needs some fine tuning here and there. I have no place to put a trash can but will work on that one. The front cap is the big one. The salesman has been shown it and agrees it looks like cracks of some sort and could be a big issue down the road. I expect all issues will be worked out as I have met the CEO of Outdoor RV at the local BIG RV show here in So Cal.
While I am at it,,, the propane tanks are held onto the frame with sheet metal screws, I changed that. The wires that go to the lower side markers were just loose and hanging, I tye-wraped them and sealed the back of the light.
These are great trailers that will be fun for years.
