24-28' Bunkhouse... Any love/hate opinions??

We have a KZ SPREE 32' Bunkhouse (324BHS) and are pretty happy with it. A couple of the kids have moved out and now it's too big but we still have two kids left at home. We went to the RV show yesterday and were a bit overwhelmed with all the bunkhouse models in the mid 20' size range. If anyone wouldnt mind sharing their likes and dislikes it would be much appreciated. Cheers to all.

We have a 28' bunkhouse. 280QBS.
We can fit onto a 30' site, which I find invaluable b/c sometimes we go to places with limited availability and we have more options since we're not limited to the 35' sites. The lake sites in particular are usually short and that's where we like to be.

The master bed touches the wall at the foot, and my husband is 6'3" and grumbles about that, but I can't imagine getting anything longer. Can't imagine anything shorter either. We can just squeeze everything we need into that space.

Thought our experience might help someone. We own the KZ S242 bunkhouse model, and it's just DH and I. Our family is expanding, and we hope to take the grandchildren camping. But you know what? If NOBODY comes camping with us, we'll enjoy that trailer. DH uses the bunkhouse area as his personal storage and dressing room haha. We've looked at so many floor plans at rv shows and this one still suits us. We're not ones to trade in frequently, so resale value is not as important to us.

I'm in a 21ft bunkhouse hybrid. No slide out and sleeps 6 adults easily.

I'm actually moving the opposite direction of you... looking to upsize as the kids are getting bigger and I need some separation while out on cold/rainy days. A separate room for the kids to read/watch TV would be HUGE.

I have a 26" Wildwood probably the same as the Salem. The queen bed has no room around it, surrounded on 3 sides by walls. It does have a large door where the bunks are that you can fold up the lower bunk and put in a bicycle. The large 12" slide does make the living area roomy for a 26 foot trailer.

I see some think empty nesters means no kids. We've been kid free for 3 year, and now the grandkids are going to be camping (5 year old now, one being born april 1st).

We bough a 20 footer 2 years ago , now we've upgraded to a BH for the grandkids. I'm actually thrilled with the idea!

We are in a 35 foot bunkhouse that we bought 2 years ago. Our youngest is going to be 20 but still comes from time to time. We love the space. Never really liked the 2 bunk type cave beds, especially as the kids get older. There is a lot out there and if you are doing it alone with a TV I wish you luck.

Yes, one of the nice things we have that it seems would have to give up is the wooden door between the main area and the 4 bunks at the back. We love that for putting the kids to bed.

We just upsized to a 26footer (29 total). It's most always just the wife and I and the pups. But we needed the floor space for two large sleeping dogs. Our bedroom is only separated by a curtain, but with only a 5 year old grand son or occassional adult kid, we're good with that. (Hate the closed in feeling of a boxed bedroom). Our model is made by Gulfstream, the Ameri-lite line. Model 259BH. We are quite happy with it. Empty weight 5050.

Often we go to book at campgrounds and have to choose the "32+" size which exlcudes us booking smaller sites which are more plentiful and available.
Plus our TV is getting old and we are thinking of replacing it with something else so it would be nice to have a bit more flexibility. The 32 weighs around 8,000.

Is there a reason that you must downsize? I always think there is nothing wrong with having more room than you need
