It does have a large door where the bunks are that you can fold up the lower bunk and put in a bicycle. The large 12" slide does make the living area roomy for a 26 foot trailer.
I'm in a 26' (30' true length bumper to ball) Salem with two bunks. I dislike the small bedroom and the lack of a separate room for the bunks (it's just a curtain). I love the TT for it's storage garage at the back and heavy duty design. It has 5000# axles and ridiculous 4500#+ of payload capacity.
I'm actually moving the opposite direction of you... looking to upsize as the kids are getting bigger and I need some separation while out on cold/rainy days. A separate room for the kids to read/watch TV would be HUGE.

How many more years until you are empty nesters and need no bunks?
